Cicely is the daughter of the late Pastor Ronald J Johnson, Sr. and Miss’y Rachel Q. Johnson. She was born and raised in Vallejo, CA with her 3 siblings, Angela, Ronald, and Rhachelle. As the middle child Cicely always looked for her own special place in the family. As an adolescent she would oftentimes lock herself in her room away from the rest of the family and just write. Cicely has been keeping a journal and writing short stories since she was 8 years old. She was nearly skipped from the 4th grade directly to the 6th grade after her teacher and principal read her essay, “How I Spent My Summer Vacation.”

After years of writing poems, attending and performing at local spoken word events, and being featured as a writer in several magazines, newsletters, and blogs Cicely decided to take her natural talent for writing and share it with her family, her friends, and the World. Now, she is a published author with over 7 titles attached to her name.

Online and abroad Cicely has been known for her straight forward approach to some of the most controversial topics, thus she has been pen named Miss Politically Incorrect amongst her literary peers. Cicely has been working tirelessly for the past two years developing her brand and marketing her company. She has now expanded her publishing company CRJ Publishing, LLC from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles, CA and Atlanta, GA where she maintains satellite offices. Cicely’s publishing company, CRJ Publishing, LLC, is thriving and she currently has 5 contracted authors whose work she is publishing and marketing along with her own.

Cicely’s current book ‘black men vs. White Men; the Black Woman’s Choice’, has already been optioned to be a stage play and as she completes the final touches of her sophomore novel, The Good Time Girls, it has already been optioned to be a featured film and HBO series. Cicely’s talent for writing does not stop with just books. She has written 2 sitcoms as well as 2 stage plays and is currently working in the studio with several producers writing music for both gospel and R&B artists. She most recently got the opportunity to write songs for contestants of BET’s Sunday Best, hosted by Kirk Franklin.

Cicely is the instructor and founder of “Writer’s Block”, a non-profit organization which is a boot camp and training seminar for up & coming authors. Cicely is an awesome public speaker, an accomplished singer, a former model, an actress, and she hosts her own Blog Talk TV show, Blog Out Loud! with Cicely J.

Cicely has her BA in Legal Studies and is an ABA Certified Paralegal with an emphasis in Personal Injury, Mass Torts, and Civil Litigation. She currently works full time as a Case Manager at a top litigation firm in San Francisco. Cicely is an active member of the San Francisco Paralegal Association (SFPA) and a featured member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
