Jasmyne Fyffe

Jasmyn Fyffe is a professional dancer and choreographer. She started dancing when she was six years old in ballet and African Caribbean dance then stopped at 13 years old then started it again at 19 years old. Dance has always been at part of her life. Her parents have been supportive and instrumental in her success since day one.

During our conversation Jasmyn shares some of her journey including why she left dance at 13 years old and how she got back into it, how choreography and creation is her life, why and how she started her own dance company, the business of running a dance company and what has she learned, how does she balance all that she does, the key for getting grants, what work she is most proud of, upcoming performances in 2012 and some challenges that she faces and how she handles them.
