Dr. Steven Lake

Dr. Steven Lake has been studying human dynamics and relationships between the sexes for over 30 years, first, as an actor and director for the stage, and then as a psychotherapist.

He has a Master’s degree in counselling and a PhD in Educational Administration. Steven worked for Corrections Canada in a maximum security prison hospital and currently teaches graduate courses in psychology at Adler University, works for the BC Society of Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse, and has a private practice.

Steven has been writing for the Good Men Project the last three years and is the editor for the Marriage and Commitment section.

He is the author of Talk2me: How to Communicate with Women and The Sex Formula How to Calculate Sexual Compatibility.

Dr. Lake will be on our show live tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Pacific. He will be answering the question Are You Love-Able?.

The Dr. Vibe Show™: Dr. Marvin Thompson “The Future Of Education Under The Trump Presidency”

Dr. Marvin Thompson is an educational leader who has spent the majority of his 25 years in the educational field turning around schools in challenged communities. The scope of his experiences in schools range from pre-school director, elementary teacher to district superintendent.

In 2003, his efforts led to his school being recognized as one of the top 15 most changed schools in America through the National School Change Award Program. He served on the Virginia Academic Review Steering Committee, which reviewed, revised and developed school performance standards which are currently being used in states across America. He has served on Governor Mark Warner’s Economic Development committees and Governor Tim Kane’s early childhood committee.

As the Chief Academic Officer of a charter school in New Orleans, Dr. Thompson was featured in Oprah Winfrey’s Blackboard Wars, a nationally televised documentary bringing light to the challenges facing urban schools in America. The program received many awards including CableFax’s Best Documentary, The CINE Golden Eagle Award and the New York Festival’s TV and Film Award.

Dr. Thompson has many televison and radio apprearances including the CBS Morning News, The Tavis Smiley Show, LA Today, and CNN: Headline News as an educational commentator. In 2013, he was a speaker at the Steve Harvey Mentoring Camp for Boys and the Indiana Black Expo. Dr. Thompson was most recently an invited guest of the White House to speak at the 2015 Congressional Black Caucus Convention in Washington, D.C., to discuss the challenges facing boys in challenged communities.

Currently Dr. Thompson is the President and CEO of EmpowerED, and educational Consulting firm specializing in organizational systems development. His company has worked with schools across America from rural districts to some of the largest and most challenged such as the Los Angeles Unified School District. In 2009, Dr. Thompson was an invited member of the International Exchange of Scholars to assist the University of South Africa, the 4th largest university in the world, in revising its educational curriculum. These efforts will influence over fifty percent of the teacher workforce in the continent of Africa.

Dr. Thompson received his Ed.D. degree in Leadership & Policy Studies from The George Washington University, an M.ED in Administration & Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.A. in Psychology and Education from Randolph Macon College in Virginia.

Recently, Dr. Thompson was on our show talking about The Future Of Education Under The Trump Presidency. During the conversation, he talked about:

Gerald DuBose is a gifted visionary on a mission to change how the world perceives beauty. He has always seen the world differently than most. A Washington DC native, Gerald’s childhood was dedicated to creativity. He began writing poetry at eight-years old , developing a genuine passion for overlooked beauty. Also known as “The shy guy with a big mouth” has built and advised several multi-million dollar businesses over the last two decades. He is the author of the book: The 4 Success 4 steps to achieve anything you want in life. Gerald has authored 2 other books, in addition to being an impassioned Keynote speaker and activist. He is a father, business cultivator, sales trainer, poet, and truth seeker.

Dr. Anita Jack-Davies is an academic and cross-cultural expert. She is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Queen’s University and founder of The Cross-Cultural Institute, a firm that specializes in creating cross-cultural curriculum materials such as online and blended courses, training programs, white papers and retreats.

While completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Jack-Davies gained experience in several administrative roles including Human Rights Advisor and Educational Developer, both at Queen’s University.

An expert in cross-cultural issues, she specializes in examining issues of equity, diversity and inclusion as they impact the changing Canadian workplace. Dr. Jack-Davies is a seasoned facilitator and offers strategic planning, training and advisory support to organizations.

She has recently launched the Badges2Bridges, an online, cross-cultural training program for law enforcement professionals in Canada and the United States and lives with her family in Kingston, Ontario. She can be contacted at anita@dranitajackdavies.com.

Ray Collazo is a seasoned activist who is one of the foremost national experts on political activism and Latino community engagement. Collazo is currently the Political Director for a prominent national Latino Civil Rights organization.

Ray Collazo is also the host of Rays Talk Show. Rays Talk Show has become one of the recognized Podcasts for anyone interested in the Latino perspective on politics and the hottest issues impacting our communities. Collazo has been recently recognized by NPR as one of the “Top 8 Latino Podcasts” in the United States and interviewed leaders and thinkers such as Ray Suarez, Residente of Calle 13, We Grow Latina’s Rachel Matos and YouTube Sensation Jenny Lorenzo.

A Puerto Rican from North Philadelphia, he is a proud family man, married to Michelle Roman-Collazo and father to Troy and Maxwell.

Tommy J. Curry is an an Professor of Philosophy at Texas A&M University. He is a Ray A. Rothrock Fellow and has commented on social matters in venues ranging from Forbes, to Sirius XM. He is the author of over 50 articles on issues of racism, anti-Black violence, and the institutionalization of Black male death. He is working on a forthcoming books on Black male vulnerability entitled the Man-Not, and the Eschatology of Kanye West. Dr. Curry is a strong advocate and thinker for the reconceptualization of Black men and boys. He is adamant that the arguments used to justify their death and incarceration by Black and white scholars alike must be challenged.

Dr. Anita Jack-Davies

Dr. Anita Jack-Davies is an academic and cross-cultural expert. She is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Queen’s University and founder of The Cross-Cultural Institute, a firm that specializes in creating cross-cultural curriculum materials such as online and blended courses, training programs, white papers and retreats.

While completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Jack-Davies gained experience in several administrative roles including Human Rights Advisor and Educational Developer, both at Queen’s University.

An expert in cross-cultural issues, she specializes in examining issues of equity, diversity and inclusion as they impact the changing Canadian workplace. Dr. Jack-Davies is a seasoned facilitator and offers strategic planning, training and advisory support to organizations.

She has recently launched the Badges2Bridges, an online, cross-cultural training program for law enforcement professionals in Canada and the United States and lives with her family in Kingston, Ontario. She can be contacted at anita@dranitajackdavies.com.
