There is a clear racial divide over how Americans feel about the effect of the Internet and social media on politics. Minorities in America believe technology has had a far more positive impact on politics and the cultural conversation than do white Americans, according to a Yahoo News survey conducted by the Harris Poll. Born and raised in Zion, Illinois, Berylanne graduated from Illinois State University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in theatre management and stage directing. She also obtained a Master’s in written communication from National Louis University, Chicago. Out of Range is Berylanne’s directional short film debut. She has assisted directed and played as an extra for numerous stage plays, music videos, and short films. She has directed and produced her first play, The UnderGround Effect, at Gorilla Tango Theatre Chicago produced Outfit, a home-made documentary film that explores vintage fashion. She has launched her very own production business in 2013, B-Anne Productions. Her current film, Secret Desire, is a 1950’s vintage inspired film. She is also a passionate advocate for the Black community, with a focus on relationships, family, Black education, Black entertainment, and Black consciousness. In her spare time she enjoys vintage hairstyling, pin up modeling, shopping, and of course – writing stage plays and screenplays.

Ms. Lynch will be on our show live tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Pacific. She will be talking about Black Consciousness.

Charles S. Corprew, III joined the Loyola University New Orleans psychology faculty in August of 2011 after completing his Ph.D. in Psychological Science at Tulane University. Dr. Corprew centers his research on examining development in diverse contexts. More specifically, he looks at factors related to resilience and vulnerability in African American men and boys. Additionally, Dr. Corprew’s research investigates the relationships between the multidimensional aspects of hypermasculinity and precursors to sexual assault. His efforts have received national attention where he has lectured nationally on each of these lines of research and has been published in numerous journals, such as the Journal of Men’s Studies, The Journal of College Student Development, and Urban Education. In 2014, he was awarded the College of Humanities and Natural Science Excellence in Research Award. Furthermore, in the spring of 2014, Dr. Corprew received a W. K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Fellowship, a prestigious honor.

Dr. Corprew will be on our show live tonight at 6:30 p.m. Eastern/3:30 p.m. Pacific. He will be talking about Black Men’s Healthy Relationships With Women.
