The Dr. Vibe Show: Tamar-Melissa C. Huggins – CEO Of Driven Accelerator Group Live Tonight At 8 P.M. EST

0

Tamar-Melissa C. Huggins

Driven Accelerator

Tamar-Melissa C. Huggins a Gen-Y native, with a passion for entrepreneurship, digital technology and marketing. As the founder and CEO of Driven Accelerator Group, Tamar-Melissa manages business development initiatives, and oversees day-to-day activities. Before Driven, Tamar-Melissa founded Knexxion Communication Group, a boutique PR agency with a focus in media, entertainment, and sports marketing. She spent the early years of her career focusing on digital strategy for clients like H&M, Nike Canada, Cadbury Adams and Motorola. Tamar-Melissa is a contributor to The Huffington Post and Business Blogs Hub. She holds an advanced diploma from Centennial College in Creative Advertising, and Humber College in Public Relations. She is very active in her Christian community, and currently lives in Brampton with her small family.

In January 2012, Driven started as a career building resource for young professionals and entrepreneurs. We received great feedback and tremendous response from our audience; but felt there was a lack of support and resources for young entrepreneurs. Shortly after, we fine tuned our focus and re-launched as Driven Accelerator Group: lead by minority entrepreneurs, for minority entrepreneurs.

What do we mean by minorities? Driven is designed specifically for digital startups founded by women, African-Canadians and South Asians.

Modeled after NewME Accelerator in the States, Driven’s 12-week program provides increasing exposure to talent, co-working space, access to early stage capital, and mentorship. The goal of the program is to build successful startup companies in Toronto,
and to provide exposure to minority founders.

Our mission is to Teach, Engage and Inspire Toronto’s most fascinating, and underrepresented Young Entrepreneurs in digital technology. Our founding partners and mentors run some of the most successful startups in Canada. Our accelerator is bursting at the seams with amazingly talented, and dedicated entrepreneurs whom you can relate to on many levels.

In a community partnership with The Foundery, Driven Accelerator provides a network of like minded entrepreneurs, and innovators in the heart of downtown Toronto.

We will be speaking with Tamar-Melissa about Driven Accelerator and minority entrepreneurs in the digital world live tonight at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST.

During the live discussion, you have the opportunity to call in and share with us and ask questions via Skype. If you would like to do this, please call us at: doctorvibe42. If you get through, please be patient and we will get to your call as soon as possible.
