On this month’s edition of Dr. Vibe’s Allies, Victory Unlimited, Henri Morris, Clive Henry, Jonathan Shaw, Khalil Cumberbatch, Teresa Hodge and Donna Hylton will be discussing In Today’s Racial Climate Can Black Men And Women Stay Divided?.

Here are the conversation pieces:

As black men, what role has television played in your life—in the past and in the present?

Do you think it’s better to have mostly positive black male characters on TV, or is it best to have a mixture of different kinds of black male characters on TV?

Why are there more strong black women starring in their own popular TV shows today than strong black men?

Over the years, black men have seemed to find more success by starring in comedic sitcoms than they do in hour-long dramas—why do you think that is?

In your opinion, past or present, what are some of the WORST black male characters that you’ve seen on TV—and why?

In your opinion, past or present, what are some of the BEST black male characters that you’ve seen on TV—and why?

Should black people even care about how black men are portrayed on fictional television shows? If so, then why? And if not, then why not?

If you had to recommend to our listeners just one TV show to watch that features a black male character, what show and what character would that be—and why should they watch it?

All you need to listen to the conversation live is:
