Louis March is board member of African Canadian Heritage Association and is assisting with two Toronto based Black men’s groups, Young and Potential Fathers and Brothers Helping Brothers. He has been working proactively with the African Canadian community in Toronto since the late 1970’s.

In February 2011, the African Canadian Heritage Association sent out a document to approximately 500 African Canadians in Toronto that asked them for the area in which community development needed to improve.

In this episode of, “2011 Through The Mind, The Mouth, The Heart And The Soul Of Black Men” we review the categories and their status of this point in time.

Ron reviews some of the sports stories that he felt were important in 2011 including the media coverage of Cam Newton, the death of former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier, the NBA strike and its aftermath, the NFL strike and its aftermath, should any of the major North America professional sports league be concerned in 2012, his thought on sports media coverage, are there more African Americans get the opportunity to do sports reporting in the media, a sporting incident that he covered that bothered him, the hype that surrounded the Philadelphia Eagles, how sports coverage is similar to regular news coverage and Tim Tebow and what he would changes he would like to see in various sports,

Winston talks about various topics including how he hardly sees any Black clients (he has not seen one in the last six years), that he has been discouraged by many not to help Black people with finances, that he is the process of completing of book that will help the average Black person and enterprise achieve financial success, where financial services organizations and representatives do a better job for their clients, how the Canadian economy performed in 2011, words of advice in the area of finances for Black Canadians in 2012 and his outlook for the financial world in 2012.

Del Miller is the managing director of BlackBizPro.com. Del was born in Jamaica and came to Toronto in 1993. In Dr. Crichlow’s look back at 2011, he talks about various subjects including the events in the Middle East, What does it mean to be a good citizen in society?, What is the new role of the Black women in the Black women?, What can Black men learn from Black women?, He feels that Black men have failed, his criticism of Barack Obama, that Barack Obama is a poster child for the rich and has failed many African Americans, what African Canadians need to do, how civilized countries are decaying but the Caribbean is holding it’s own, what does the Caribbean need to do, his concern for Black youth, the effect that technology has on the relationship between youth and their parents, that Black parents need to better connect with their children, how are going to measure the success of the Africentric school, what African Canadian parents need to do and what is he hopeful for in 2012.
